When the Folger Shakespeare Library re-opened its doors following a multi-year renovation with spectacular new exhibition spaces, it needed a way for visitors to explore and learn more about the nearly 2,000 collections images adorning its walls. In collaboration with the Exhibitions and Collections teams, I designed and built Pages, an exploration tool that allows visitors to browse maps of our walls, select images, learn more about them, and connect with the Folger’s Digital Collections platform.

Designed with both in-person and online-only visitors at heart, this tool gives visitors the ability to take a deep dive into the Folger’s vast holdings. It was designed with future AR capability in mind, to allow a visitor to explore the exhibition’s images using their device’s camera.
